Two clays, one wheel, and a pattern that can never be repeated in quite the same way. The soft cream and deep earthy lines come naturally from two different clays turning together as the mug is shaped.
Each mug is thrown by hand in stoneware, combining two contrasting clay bodies directly on the wheel. As they move together, the clays create their own layers, lines and little shifts in colour. Nothing is painted on, the pattern you see is the clay itself. Even the handle carries those natural variations, making the whole piece feel connected from one side to the other.
Because the two clays mix differently every time they meet on the wheel, no two mugs will ever have exactly the same pattern.
